Scripture Memory Challenge

Wow! It's already June 15th and time to post another scripture!

I have been making a special effort to spend more time in all of the first 11 verses of Psalm 139 and now I'm beginning to work on the 12th verse. (Actually, I'm at 13 verses since I started with my life's verse out of Phil. 3.)

Here is verse 12:

"... but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you."

Psalm 139:12
(NLT)

We never need to fear of being lost or alone because our God is always with us. We can not be lost from Him. Whether we are in the dark times of our life or on the bright mountain top, He is there, watching over us and waiting to fellowship with his beloved.

I'm reminded of a story about an elderly couple who were reflecting upon their youthful dating days. She commented how they used to sit close to each other -- even in the car, but somehow through the years, they no longer sat close to each other. His reply was, "I'm not the one that moved." At times when we feel lonely, we need to take a look at ourselves. Maybe we've "moved". Let's snuggle up to our Savior and not be guilty of moving away from Him.

Love,
