Today it is sleeting and we are expecting more freezing precipitation throughout the night and tomorrow. In the eastern part of the state, residents will be at risk for a power outage. I don't think we have to be concerned about that; it's just very cold and icy.
On days like this, I like to cook soup, gumbo, stew or chili. Today I decided to make vegetable beef soup (haven't made that in forever). If you were here, I would love to serve you some soup, followed by a good cup of coffee and sweet conversation.
Soup's on, so drive on over . . . or maybe slide . . . or skate . . . or sled . . . on over for a nice hot bowl of soup!
Love,

Mmm...sounds great. Now where is the parsonage? :o)
I have a housefull of picky eaters - and by housefull, I mean two. Yep, there is just the three of us here. I'm the only one who'll eat most anything although there ARE a few exceptions! :o)
I enjoy following your blog - I get to post every so often. Your sweet church sounds much like the kind of church I grew up in. I missed that kind of place for quite a long time, but God has fairly recently blessed us with an AMAZING church filled with loving and accepting believers again...only this time it is MUCH BIGGER than my old church! :o) I always thought big churches were all about numbers and weren't very close - but boy is that NOT the case here! I pray that your church is blessed greatly by God's anointing and that you and your husband get to enjoy it...I know that all too often in ANY church the politics tend to rise to the surface of EVERYTHING. May God use you both and the entire congregation to be a great light to the community with an overflowing love for people...ALL people! :o) Blessings to you and yours...

It is a soup day, for certain. Looks very good. I've been a homebody today because of the gray. Not so cold yet, but gray. Hope you are enjoying a day inside and staying warm. Love, Annette
Soup looks good!! It's warmed all the way up to 20 here, but I'm still cold enough to enjoy a great bowl of hot soup!!!
Soup looks delicious! Maybe on my menu for tomorrow, that would make my sweet hubby happy. And I agree that "grandbaby day" is the best day of the week!
Yep, our Bible study was cancelled last night.
Everyone was really disappointed, but....it was the right call.
The soup looks so yummy. I love soup and chili on days like we're experiencing.
I'm off today and plan on having a lazy day.
Stay warm and safe!
Love,
Valerie
Oh, I wish I could! ...Even though it's almost 70 degrees outside here.
