Bon Voyage!

We are going on a cruise! Are you ready to come along?

Today we are in Harwich, England. As soon as we get to the dock we will tag our luggage and go check in. Once we get on board we go to our rooms to get rid of our carry-on luggage (the ones we have been physically attached to since Monday!).

Now it's time to look around the ship and get our bearings (port, starboard, aft, forward, elevators, etc.). We are on "Jewell of the Seas", a mega ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet.

Let's go look around the ship, shall we?

First stop, our room. No matter the size, they are quite comfortable.

This is the theater. It has a least one balcony and can be accessed from two different floors. The entertainment on Royal Caribbean is awesome. There are numerous guest entertainers in the line-up, plus RC has their own dancers and amazing band aboard all the ships.

This is the centrum. It is the business hub of the ship. There's customer service, and shopping, tour information, booking, and shopping, the daily newspapers, and shopping, photography, and shopping. I think you get the idea. The voyager fleets have shopping malls with sidewalk cafes! Centrums are usually open for 3 - 4 stories with glass elevators, and beautiful.

Another view of the centrum.

This is the formal dining room where we will eat each evening. This one is two stories (voyage fleets are three stories).

The indoor pool or solarium. Gorgeous, isn't it?

The outdoor pool. There are hot tubs near the outdoor and indoor pool.

Basketball court and/or tennis.
This ship also has golf and rock climbing.

And for the kids and kids-at-heart, there's a waterslide!

This is an interesting feature in one of the lounges -- a car. Depending upon their size, the lounges are used for entertainment, small shows and contests, classes and seminars, church services -- not just for drinking.

Well, did you like your tour? It's hard to believe how huge these vessels are. They are actually floating cities. There is many things to do. The spa are wonderful. The exercise gyms are awesome.
Thanks for joining me on today's tour. Come back tomorrow because there will be more to share.
Love,
Sherry

Oh man, how awesome this is. Now I'm going on a cruise with you!!! The ship is beautiful. I've been on 2 cruises, but that was probably 25-30 years ago. My my the ships are much bigger now. As I remember we only had one shop and you're talking malls!!!! Wow!!
Looking forward to more!

Wow...beautiful! We don't travel much (really, not at all), but we are going on a cruise in November for our 30th wedding anniversary. Your gorgeous pics made me more excited than I already was!
